The Commercial Businesses Group is responsible for the generation of revenue through the development and management of the Airport’s commercial and industrial property portfolio (circa $1.2BN) and the growth of the Airport’s Parking and land transport assets and activities.
The Parking and Transport Services Division is responsible for generating revenue through the development and management of the airport’s Parking and Land transport assets and activities.
With a number of exciting initiatives in the pipeline, we are currently looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Systems Manager to be responsible for managing the design, delivery, development, utilisation and ongoing support of Parking and Transport Services related systems, processes and controls to ensure they meet the current and anticipated needs of the business.
Key deliverables associated with this role include ensuring systems are designed to meet user and business requirements, delivered to scope and budget and supported in a timely and professional manner. The role, is also responsible for ensuring the day to day systems are available and operating as expected
Manage Parking and Transport Services related systems to ensure that improvement, upgrade and replacement projects are identified; liaising with other internal stakeholders to ensure the efficient delivery of these improvements.
Represent Parking and Transport Services on all aspects of system projects including, but not limited to:
Requirements gathering and specification
Tender evaluation and selection
Planning and timing of project delivery
Coordination of Parking and Transport Services Team resources
Review existing Parking and Transport business processes, identifying, recommending and implementing improvements.
Manage application implementation/upgrades including the design and delivery of the user acceptance testing and parallel processing phases.
Develop and maintain a strategic plan for Systems incorporating innovations in technology and evolving business requirements as part of this plan, work with BAC’s IT division to develop and maintain a technology roadmap for solutions.
Coordinate the identification and implementation of technologies and business process improvements that support the strategic goals of the Parking and Transport Services Team and the business.
Facilitate user groups for key Systems to ensure they are being developed in accordance with business requirements. Manage relationships with external vendors for Parking and Transport systems
Foster and build collaborative relationships with internal and external BAC customers.
Manage the delivery of Parking and Transport system training to the business
Manage the level one and two support of the business and the escalation of level three support issues to the vendor
Manage the relationship with vendors providing “Application Managed Services” ensuring that work assigned to the service provider is prioritised to deliver optimum value for the business.
Experience and Qualifications
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar Systems role managing public facing platforms with commercial outcomes.
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline such as Business, Commerce or IT.
Experience in analysing and interpreting processes and information, drawing conclusions, making recommendations, and reporting this information to management.
Wide and varied experience in all aspects of system administration.
High level communication skills, including the ability to develop effective partnerships (internally and externally).
Knowledge & Technical Proficiency
Advanced skills in the use of typical Microsoft packages (Word, Excel and Outlook).
Advanced level of understanding of Systems with a focus on their application and integration across multiple programs.
