Funko is a purveyor of pop culture, making and selling license-focused collectibles. We’re based in Everett, WA where we have a store that delights kids of all ages (kids at heart included). We currently hold hundreds of licenses for franchises ranging from Marvel to Harry Potter, giving us the rights to create tens of thousands of characters—one of the largest portfolios in the pop culture and collectibles industry. We take your favorite characters and turn them into adorable, or sometimes scary, collectible figures. Our most famous line, Pop! Vinyl, has millions of fans around the world.

The Supervisor, Product Development (PD) is a working manager role overseeing a PD team and driving project timelines to make sure that product is produced accurately and on time. This role is responsible for leading a team and managing product development from concept start to production, collaborating with internal stakeholders in the creative, production and sales teams. This position plays a strategic role in engaging with internal stakeholders and external licensors to understand current and future needs when developing monthly line plans.

  • Manage projects for a product group and ensure timelines and product specifications are met
  • People manage a team of Product Managers, Coordinators and Specialists to ensure that workloads are balanced, employees are developing, and issues are addressed in a fair and timely manner
  • Work with the leadership to strategize Product Waves, Form Factors and Line Lists
  • Manage information input for the master schedule; oversee software system data (The Shire) for correct information from PD team and ensure information is documented accurately and with integrity
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Creative, Production and Exclusive teams to ensure accuracy of products, dates and PD expectations
  • Work with forecasting, creative leadership and demand planning to provide pertinent capacity and revenue potential for quarterly Product Development kickoffs with Executives and Creative Team.
  • Analyze challenges the PD team is facing and generate quick and viable solutions
  • Manage between 125-145 projects and assist with achieving team objectives
  • Manage the PD pipeline, assignment and prioritization of resources for specific license(s) or categories as needed
  • 4+ years’ experience of product development or project management experience, preferably in the consumer products space
  • 1 year supervisory or lead experience required
  • Ability to operate well in fast paced environment with shifting priorities
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Outstanding ability to motivate and lead; positively influence co-workers and management
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams in production workflow process
  • Must have exceptional organizational skills
  • Team player mentality
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve business problems
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite required, and Adobe skills a plus
  • Detail oriented.
