Mountain Sounds is a music, events and bookings company based on the Central Coast of New South Wales. We produce Mountain Sounds Festival, carefully curate tours, shows, events and parties via Mountain Sounds Presents plus represent and look after bookings at the Beery, the Central Coast’s premier music venue.
With Mountain Sounds Festival shifting to a two-day format, Mountain Sounds Presents and the Beery going from strength to strength and with other opportunities on the horizon, we’re looking to expand our team!
An exciting position has become available at Mountain Sounds HQ. You will be working alongside the marketing and promotion team in order to effectively plan and execute the festival’s campaign whilst also assisting with the roll out of all Mountain Sounds Presents shows and venue bookings.
Responsibilities (not limited to):
Assist with the planning and execution of the festival marketing strategy and campaign
Management and servicing of social channels – Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat during campaign and on day
Assist in the creation and roll out of engaging text, image and video content
Database management: create, execute and service all databases in order
Ensure all website and app content is correct and up to date
Liaise and develop relationships with our digital team, promotion team, sponsorship team, publicity team and graphic designer
Assist with the planning and execution of the marketing strategies and campaigns of all Mountain Sounds Presents shows and tours
Support the marketing team in miscellaneous and/or ad hoc tasks
Analyse and report in order to make suggestions for improvements week to week
Criteria (not limited to):
Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role (music/events/entertainment industry a bonus)
Knowledge of social media platforms and online marketing initiatives and strategies
Advanced copywriting skills with the ability to create engaging written content
Exceptional verbal and communication skills
Well presented with a positive personality and attitude
Strong time management skills with the ability to work independently
Attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines, multi-task and work in a high pressure environment
Ability to problem solve; quickly think of alternative solutions and implement them
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Photoshop is a bonus)
Demonstrated passion for music, festivals and events
Tertiary qualifications are preferred but not essential
Central Coast-based applicants are preferred but not essential – must have a driver’s license and laptop
This is a 6 month contract commencing in August which can eventuate into long term employment depending on performance. Overall, we’re really easy going and we hope to find a like-minded legend to work with us!
