We seek an that special left/right brain person who is all about the numbers but has some IT experience and likes a bit of diversity in their work.

Here’s the mix – about 70% bookkeeping work – setting up new clients, payroll, payables, receivables, commissions, and bank/credit card reconciliation – pretty straightforward bookkeeping for a service business. As with any bookkeeping position, you must be accurate and detail oriented.

The other 30% is assisting our Director with bookkeeping for two very small companies as well as special technical and administrative projects. As the interface our key vendors, especially for IT services, you will manage relationships for IT support, web services, and our database programmer. We will also depend on this person’s analysis and input in selecting and working with other vendors such as insurance, and web marketing.

The candidate we seek will have a mix of experience and attitude that includes:

  • Have 2 to 3 years bookkeeping experience.
  • General working knowledge and vocabulary of office IT and web marketing
  • Being flexible at times to back up our other staff by answering the phone as a backup or pulling together with the team to handle other tasks.
